Back home from Tampa... Game 7.. my thoughts

Well it was my second CUP thats ive witnessed being one, the 1st being the Rangers in 1994. I have to say Tampa Fans should be proud. They werent as loud as Ranger fans. The NY Cup was bedlam from the national anthem til the end, but Tampa was still defening.

THE GAME -
Calgary looked burnt out. Nothing left. Totally washed out from losing game 6. Only Kipper kept game from being a blowout.
Except for four min or so after they scored that 1 goal.. it was total domination completed by stupidity of that last penalty which was deservedly handed out.

Ill say this, Brad Richards definitely deserved Conn Smythe, but shouldve been more mention about Fedetenko , I think he had 12 or 13 goals.

Also a BIG BIG factor in the series was play of Dingman and 4th line who seemed to keep the puck deep for their whole shift , every shift which wore out Calgary. Without a doubt I believe Dingman unsung hero of series and earned that CUP as much as anyone.

GO LIGHTNING Pics coming soon

I saw MikeAI made that game too, and caught a puck! There's a nice keepsake.. As a native Floridian it's good to see Lord Stanley down here finally!

Guess the Canadians will have to wait another year to try to get it back up there. ( 10 years and counting )

it is idiotic comments like this that just show how u know shit about sports or hockey for that matter, the best players ARE CANADIAN! use your fucking brain not all Canadians cheered for the flames, many cheered for the ones which players were from their home town.

Both teams were so close, but in sports there is a loser, and i totally agree Calgary didnt do anything until the last 5 min, to little to late,

i cant wait for next year, check out the differences in payrolls and then u can keep yapping.

I could hear the cheers from my house so I went down the the arena and waited outside after the 2nd quarter. The energy was awesome!

I can't wait until we win it again next year!

Canadians are naturals for hockey.

I hired a professional canadian hockey player to give my kid 1 on 1 hockey lessons for the summer. He plays for the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL Team). Its expensive, but today my kid was skating forward, did a 180 spin and skated backwards, and is doing hockey stops to the left and right. Not bad for a 5 year old that couldnt skate at all 10 weeks ago. He's learning as much in one session with this guy as he was learning in 3 weeks with the 'hockey coach' that he had.

Next year when he is 6 years old, both me and him are to Ontario for a week long hockey camp.

If you want to be good, learn from the best. And the Canadians are just the best when it comes to hockey.

Americans are no good at hockey. It's all the canadian guys who did the work for Tampa.

In September Canada will take the World Cup easily without a doubt like in 2002. Just watch and enjoy it starts August 30.

WOW did I touch a nerve? I know my hockey facts thank you.. Just bringing up the point a CANADIAN team hasn't won the cup in TEN YEARS... Guess they like the weather better here. Although you might be able to count the Av's, they did win in 96 after fleeing from canada

LOL kool man, in all honesty I was a bit happy the team that took out my favorite team (since hockey wasn't around Florida when I started watching) The Red Wings! Damn Flames take out my #1 seed how dare they..

Next year Detriot wins the cup in 5, mark it on the calander! (5 three 20 min period games that is.. baring overtime periods)
