Go to this website. They have information on RSI and also how you can prevent it from getting worse. Do the stretch exercises they list...they really do work.

There are a few things you can do, Kitty...

			1. Get yourself a pair of white cotton gloves. Warm vaseline and smear it on your hand and put on the gloves and sleep with them on overnight. 2. There is a product made of spandex that is used by many sewers and cross stitchers, you know the type. Most fabric stores either carry this product or know where to get it; although, I'm not sure if Australia has them. If not, email me with your address and I'll send you one. They are wonderful and help support your hand and wrist. 3. Wrap your hands in a heating pad for twenty minutes at a time. Avoid ice and cold. I know most docs will say it's a good thing; but, all cold does is numb. It doesn't cause the blood to circulate faster. Advil is also known as ibuprofen. Take four (200mg each) with aspirin, if you can handle aspirin. Avoid Tylenol like the plague. It causes liver damage and you already have arthritis. The combination of ibuprofen and aspirin work synergistically to reduce inflammation. 4. When you sleep, using a soft ace bandage, gently wrap your hand with it, up to your forearm. During the night, it kind of keeps your limb straight, without force, like the hard splints do and helps to keep you aligned.
