I bought the graphite iBook SE last December, maxed out the ram and have been doing all the web and graphic design for my web sites with it. I absolutely love it!!! The only drawback at first was that the screen is limited to 800x600, but since I always designed sites with that setting in mind, it didn't bother me too much to be "stuck" in that setting. If this is a problem for you, the powerbooks are more versatile. If you have any specific questions, post them here and I'll be glad to answer them.

I'be been thinking about an iBook for a long time but the screen size was the only thing turning me off... they have no video out, so you can't hook 'em up to a bigger monitor. If you want video out, you need a Powerbook, which is more $$$. Although I do think the new iBooks have a composite video out so you can hook it to your TV...

That's true, my iBook does have a video/audio plug for viewing on a televsion but I don't think I could work like that. The real benefit is that I can work at the breakfast table, on the couch, on the floor, on the patio, in bed (girlfriend hates that). I bought a 100ft. ethernet patch cable for $12 and I've got my DSL connection almost anywhere in the house. Beats $400 for the Airport card and base. Anyway, the point of this post was to say that I also had reservations about the screen size, but the fact that I can work anywhere was a more significant advantage.
