Anyone who knows their video editing software?

I'm trying to find a video editing program that will allow me to load in an AVI file, and automatically just step through it and save every X number of frames to disk. Say, every 5th frame, or every 10th frame. I don't care what format the pictures are saved in, just need to find something that will do this automatically.

Anyone know of anything good for this?

Use Virtual Dub...load in an avi or even a VOB file and you can set the frame rate. Average scene a frame rate of 0.1 will get you about 100 pics in bmp format. 0.15 will get you around 140.

IrfanView has a capture function that you can configure however you wish .... and it's FREE
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

I don't know that Premiere does this...I hear if you get a Matrox card, there's bundled software that does this...but capping like that is sooo hit and miss, might as well hand cap it...comes out wayyyy better....
