    Markets closing on Friday for Reagan

    Stock markets are closing on Friday for dead Reagans funeral.

    Has this every happened before? It seems pretty stupid to me. I thought this is what Presidents day is for

                  That is what I was thinking. He was republican after all. Bush looked up to Reagan. The cut taxes and spend like crazy thing really appeals to Bush. After all, he is known for bankrupting companies.

                                      countries like China and the Soviest Union have lots of holidays to honor their leaders. Sure Reagan was a good president, but all of this "politician worship" is set up to make presidents like Bush look better.

                                      Bush is just trying to ride the wave of good feelings people had for Reagan and the republicans in the 80's, and nobody can say shit about him making a national holiday because he will just say he is honoring Reagan's legacy.

                                      It's the same idea with Bush comparing the current Iraq war with World War II. It is not a good analogy at all, but since everybody thinks what we did in World War II was right, he is trying to steal those same feelings and get the sheeple to back him in Iraq.
