Do your eyes bother you from looking at the screen so much?

Mine are really starting to bother me. It feels like theyre sore and it gets stronger as days go by.
I have a 19" crt and I bought a glare filter to put in front of it yesterday but thats not really helping.

anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I'm also starting at a monitor so I need to find a way not to fuck up my eyes from working so much.

I sit about 6 feet from my monitor, so that probably helps my eyes a little

Nah my eyes are usually pretty good. I use the normal font size +1 when I have to read text and its all good.

I find a flat screen is better then a curved screen glare wise too.

I'm getting more eye irritation when I got my new Samsung LCD.

My CRT was much easier on the eyes.... Dunno.

take a break away from your monitor every 10-15 minutes... UV filter sometimes helps with the eye strain

Try DVI cable if you don't use it allready and reduce brightness.

My eyes bother me more than they used to (and I use an LCD at 1024x768, standard font size). My forearm / wrist pisses me off too more than it used to (carpal tunnel).

Being 40 doesn't help, taking breaks would - I spend waaaaay too much time in front of the box, and have for years now...
