SCSI Ultra320, 80 pin OR 68 pin ???

I'm ordering up the first batch of available parts for building my new PCI Express, DDR2 ram, dream system and I'm a little confused rite now because I'm looking at the hard drives and see that there's 10,000RPM SCSI Ultra320 80 pin and 68 pin drives, so I'm kinda lost because I never dealt with SCSI before in my life, thus I have 2 different models to choose from, this

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...111-130&depa=0

and this

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...111-131&depa=0

What's the best way to go ?? I'm not planning on RAIDing rite now, I'm just gonna use the single drive.

Also, if anyone has any SCSI Ultra 320 card recommondations, I'd greatly appreciate it.

If not raid just go with the 68 pin the 80's are for the new larger drives with the new controllers.

I have 4, 68 pin 146 drives showing up in the AM, 400 per from Dell.

Go here for more info, http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/scsirev.html

68 pin the 80 pin drives are for hot swapable cases unless you bought a server case you dont have a use for 80 pin drives.

Ok excellent, now having 2 comments to run with 68-pin, I guess that's what I need to assure me to go that route.

He he he, actually I did look at the 15,000 RPM drives, but from what I see, I don't think that they make them bigger than 73-gig rite now and to me, that's not big enough. PLUS for the same price as a 73-gig 15,000 RPM drive, I can get a 143-gig 10,000 RPM drive
