Everytime I go home, I have to clean up my parents PC! They just bought a new one about 3 months ago and they were complaining that it has gotten so slow. They had over 700 spyware programs on the thing!! Wouldn't be so bad though if my mom didn't play all those MSN games all day long :)

on another note, sometimes the reports from anti ad/spy-ware programs makes it look worse then it actually is. A couple of "bad" cookies and it can look like your computer is full of crap with spybots search while it's mostly harmless.

It's a huge problem though, I see it everywhere as well, IE sucks.
