Oh, I loved Indiana Jones, Pirates was under repairs when I was there so I don't know about it however I've heard it's great. Oh, and Space Mountain is great too. There is also that rollercoaster over in California Adventure Park(don't know what it's called though), the coaster goes upside down(when you look at it from a distance you see mickeys head). It's a good one too.
Have a blast!

I second that! Magic Mountain is so much funner than Disneyland and usually less crowded... Knott's berry farm is great too.... good rides, not a lot of crowds...
Last year went to Disneyland for the day and spent about an hour in line for each ride... then the next day went to Knott's Berry Farm and the place was virtually deserted... we went on every ride about 3 times and just ran through the lines... its great reverting back to childhood hehehehe
Pirates used to be my favorite ride until they "repaired" it into political correctness (and then they came out with a pirate movie that emulated the old ride... go figure). Now instead of chasing women to chase women, the pirates are chasing women because they're carrying big plates of food. Also, there used to be a pirate holding a pair of underpants with a woman hiding in a barrel behind him, but now the pirate's holding a chicken leg or something and there's a dog in the barrel. Pfft.
I still enjoy Pirates, but now my favorite is Haunted Mansion. It's the only ride I've ever been able to see a hidden Mickey on (not counting the Mickey hat on one of the Indiana Jones skeletons).
Something fun to do if they're doing Fantasmic while you're there is get to the park an hour or more early and get tickets (at a special events ticket booth) to the Fantasmic dessert balcony... the balcony of the art gallery (above Pirates) is opened during Fantasmic for a very limited seating (30 people maybe) all you can eat dessert and mint julep cafe-type area for $50 per person (but worth every penny for a chance to watch from the balcony, avoid the crowds, and take a relaxing break). Another splurge I suggest is the Blue Bayou Restaurant, which is the restaurant inside Pirates.
I also suggest visiting snopes.com for Disneyland urban legends (some true), hidden Mickeys, and odd trivia before you go.

Originally posted by riosluts Ive never been there but ive heard that you have to wait an average of 30 minutes per ride in line. is that true
the gf and I have year passes -- she LOVES that place, we go like once a month for the last 2 and a half years (not during the summer.. our so-cal passes are not good then, but we do not want to go then anyway, lol)
GO DURING THE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the week there are almost no lines. Last time we were there we walked up and go on small world without stopping. Pirates was 5 minute wait. Thunder Mt was 5 minutes. Matterhorn was 15 minutes.
trust me, go during the week
Do NOT waste your time in the California Adventure park until you have done EVERYTHING you wanted to do in Disneyland... California Adventure kinda sucks... there is only 2 good rides there -- the water raft one and the roller coaster one that goes upside down. The new hollywood tower of terror sucks ass... its like 20 seconds long. Only go there if you are 100% done in Disneyland.
