Quick CSS question please

I want to insert a css line to define the default font which will be used in the body of the html page. here's what i do:

body {
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 16px;
color: #000000

}

well it's not working

am i doing something wrong?

try a semi-colon after the color tag.

color: #000000;

Are you doing embedded or external? Embedded will override external. Do you have any other css stuck in there?

Try this and see what happens:

<haed>

<style type="text/css">
BODY
[
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

<body>

body stuff here



change that [ after body to the opposite of this }
spell head right

i'm using an external css file

no other css in my head tag other than the link to the css file...
