it seems that everytime i import a jpg into my vid it gets pixelated and looks like shit. how can i fix this?

sometimes the monitor screws up, i think. it used to be like that with mine...i would download a picture from other computers and itd be ok, but when i use it on mine it screws up. check the monitor.
