I've read through this thread and feel I should straighten a few misconceptions out.
First, The military is still allowed to go to Tijuana (I spent the night at The Hotel Leya (next door to The Chicago Club) last Thursday and like any night of the week there were loads of Navy and Marine boys
Second, If your in a group your not going to get mugged, I've staggered all over the Zona at all hours of the day and night by myself I worry more about tripping over a broken or uneven sidewalk than being mugged
Third, Trixie is correct on the health cards except the girls are checked monthly.
Personally I feel safer in the Zona Norta than on Revolution.
I've never been pickpocketed in the Zona, I have been pickpocketed on Revolution by a Trannie and have had the you only gave me $5 not $20 Tourist scam pulled on me on Revolution.

I came up with the idea of a web site featuring Tijuana Whores a year ago and have spent allot of time in the Zona since.
My wife is Mexican and she had worse things to say about the Zona and the girls than anything I have read in this thread.
After many visits to the Zona my wife's attitude did a 180 she now has a "girls got to do what a girls got to do" attitude and has become very fond of some of the girls (to the point she even bought some of them Christmas presents). The girls at the Chicago Club love to talk to her, I think it's because she's a plump Mexican woman there parents age that doesn't judge them for what they are doing.
I never know if my wife is going to be sitting at the bar, in the girls dressing room or in one of the girls rooms above the brothel floor when I come down from taking pictures. I also never know how many girls are going to wrangle an invite back to our room from her to drink beer and bullshit after we leave the Chicago Club.
The point I am making is we have gotten to know some of the girls on a personal basis and they have no reason to lie to us.
