no kidding - just too big for the room though

Great buy, I currently have a reg 50" Sony, gets the job done ...
Most of the time is spent on computer, so no need for a fancy TV.

You guys do realize that normal people usually buy a CAR with 6Grand? :glugglug

Za Ha 06-03-2004 07:53 AM

lcd better than plasma?
wow i always thought the opposite was true.

Magnus 06-03-2004 07:55 AM

I was looking at those.. that no burn in is amazing.....and plasma's life spans are not as long as regular TV's.

Send pics when you gets.

i could never buy a plasma, i would hate to spend so much on a tv, and have images burned into the screen

sweetums 06-03-2004 08:27 AM

Whooohoooo!!!

Now you gotta get to work on that damn teleporter so I can get out there in a blink of an eye :)

mb 06-03-2004 08:38 AM

I've had the 70" version for a few months now. Truly amazing. Problem is that friends always show up at my door for the Pistons games on ESPN HD. Can't get rid of them!

it's not like a plasma wall mount - but it's 1/2 the tickness of a rear projection which is cool!!!! and supposed to last a lot longer with no burn in. picture was VERY clear - they deliver next week.

How much cuz Im looking for one..

stev0 06-03-2004 08:51 AM

Excellent choice! Plasma technology is on it's way out.

LCD is the future.

samsung makes a DLP rear projection as well.. like 11 inches deep... that has superior picture quality to plasma.. and will also last longer than plasma.. i have not read up too much on LCD.. but I know Texas Instruments have been getting rave reviews on their DLP technology by all of the Audio visualphiles...
:)

The Samsung DLP TV's are really really nice. I would say a step above rear projection LCD. I went into the store to check those out last night actually. The gave was pretty informative about the difference in TV technology.

The best TV tho is the Fujitsu Plasma with the 10bit processor. It's amazing. That thing was placed next to a sony plamsa TV, made the sony look like something out of the Flinstones.

Congrats on your buy btw :)

HDTV would be the next big thing in TV, sadly that there are only few channels in europe which are providing HDTV.
