Yeah..when I give folks the ole shiney hiney they get upset quick and look at me with disgust.

GonePhishing 06-03-2004 02:33 AM

I would have to think that it does have an affect on people. Mourges by date in calenders record more deaths, E.R. rooms always have more cases, and more babies are born. At least this is the case at Cook County Hospital's E.R. where my mother works. Every full moon she says her medical team is always expecting very busy days and that they don't debate whether or not the full moon has an affect. They claim it does and that they even plan to be busy on full moons.

GonePhishing 06-03-2004 02:35 AM

"the moon affects the tides because of gravity. not magic.
80% of the planet is covered in water. that's a huge mass.
however your body only has a few quarts; not enough mass to be affected.
even if ... the only affect it could have would be to make you weigh (insignificantly) less."

Maybe so, but many also speculate that the iron in your blood is affected by the principal of gravity and magnetic fields that are altered by a full moon's gravitational pull. You don't need to believe in magic to belive that there are effects generated by these changes.

It's a conspiracy

dunno, i just believe....

cayne 06-03-2004 05:06 AM

Perhaps, but I think it's kind of everyones belief.

Dirty F 06-03-2004 05:13 AM

Uh whats a full moon exactly? More light bounces of it, the earth doesnt block the sun so it covers the whole moon??? Is there more gravity because of that? People act weird because she sun shines more light on the moon?

You guys are idiot.

Dirty F 06-03-2004 05:16 AM

Theres always a full moon, a half moon doesnt exist, the moon is always there. Its friggin light we see being reflected. This doesnt do shit to people. If i shine a flashlight on you do you suddenly change? No you dont.

Dirty F 06-03-2004 05:20 AM

Theres absolutely no proof a full moon does anything to people besides make you sleep worse at night because of the extra light it might shine in your room.

People want to believe shit full moon shit like this, its sounds romantic, mysterious. And those sensitive idiots read a topic like this where another idiot says something happened to him a year ago during a full moon, then goes to his other sensitive buddy's to tell that story to them etc. A new mystery is born...

Correct, except that the thread count begins after the first post. So in other words, the creator of the thread is post 0.

Well now you know, and knowing is half the battle. :winkwink:
