They need to get into advertising and affiliate marketing in a big way, ads like "go on a world cruise for a dollar??" who wouldn't want to see what thats about. |

The maximum amount of time a sweepstakes prize can be active is 180 days. All sweepstakes will expire in 30 -180 after they are posted. Once again, if quota is not reached in that amount of time, the sweepstakes is closed and the tickets that have been entered are returned to buyers. Once it closes, sellers will have the option of relisting the item if they wish for a lesser amount. |

This is an interesting concept. Although, I think they will not grab the same buyer/seller market ebay has a lot of. Where high end stuff might do well there, cars, electronics etc. A large portion of the nickle and dime shit that is sold on Ebay everyday by the thousands probably won't do as well. I can see for stuff like cars all it will take is a few lottery fans to win a car and go to work and tell their buddies how they won this car for a dollar. I can't see people chancing a buck for a $15 DVD and shit like that though.

3 years ago a lady in Maryland couldn't sell her house, she put an ad in the local paper saying that she would sell tickets for $ 100 each and once her price was met she would raffle off the house.
So, she got the money together, got a lawyer, did a public drawing, picked a winner and the police came and arrested her for illegal gambling. She supposently forgot to register as a gambling entity or something like that. I love the idea, kewl I am getting rid of my stuff and I am going to put 10.00 in various items I found. This site is going to be a hit, I am buying stock he he |
i remember this, its been around for quite a while, they started with smaller things like widescreen tv etc

Great idea! Am I the only one that sees the major money making potential? Much more than Ebay. A longer term investment, but with virtually no risk assuming the company is legit. Massive profits! And at .07 per share right now, I'm gonna buy as much stock as I can. It's bound to jump to at least a couple of bucks per share at the least. I can deal with that kind of profiit margin. My :2 cents:

just found out commercials begin nationally on the 10th:thumbsup

lol, great deal. A lot of the cars are new, meaning people will first close the auction then buy the car and ship it to the owner. Wonder if you have to show paperwork for you can list a car http://www.prizewise.com/productdeta...s=&sc=&id=1247 $235k home for $424k in tickets?? Nice idea could do well, if they can keep the fraud under control. |
um isnt this illegal

In order to comply with international sweepstakes laws, we ask all registering members to please complete this skills test by typing the answer to the following problem in the box:
ok.. most of the people who would continue to shell out money to this company with no won prizes would not be able to answer this question. |
ok why not offer a new car at 175% the value, then buy the car at 100% value, give them their cut and put the rest of the money in your pocket?

something like this will probably catch on especailly when they start advertising alot.
|
$200 home depot for 400 tickets (over half gone)
Lot of people are offering at 2x the selling price, nice profit lol |
It still seems illegal.
You can't just have a "skills test" on a lottery ticket and not have it be a lottery ticket. Gambling shouldn't be illegal, but it is in a lot of places still. |
That's a neat concept. I love the idea. :)

Neat idea, but no one will be able to compete with eBay. Yahoo and Amazon tried and failed, if an established web presence can't do it then no start up company will be able to do it either. :2 cents:

It's a pretty amazing idea, and I bet if they do the right amount of advertising, wait for a few stories to circulate of people winning things, it'll skyrocket.
|
$60,000 into it at $0.06 a share = 1,000,000 shares.
Banner on GFY = $5000 (or whatever the price is now) A Ferrari for the webmaster who gets 100,000 refs first. Stock goes to $10. Cash in my $10,000,000 and chill :) |
ebay is one of a kind

there needs to be more items up right now and the auctions need to be shorter time spans. Better listing info and search and sorting options are also needed. If they do that it will definitly be BIG. Reminds me of the Pyramid System.
"I'd Buy That For A Dollar!" :thumbsup |
You should check into www.livedeal.com
They haven't really taken off, but their whole angle is Localization of listings. Plus, it's non-auction, all fixed-prices but you can mark "Negotiable". I've sold a few things on there. Biggest problem with all these places is the implementation of "Stores". You can list all kinds of shit you want to sell at retail prices BUT you can't filter them out in the advanced search. |
