do you have a Radion 9800? mine locks up, or blue screens.. then when I reboot gives me a video card driver error.. But only with BF42 and DC.

All the battlefield games that i have installed ( 42 aka DC , Vietnam ) are working good on the TI4600

Mabye it's something with your Ram ?

yes I know mine worked fine with the Ti4600 too.. I only had issues when I bought a Radion 9800 card..

tried them all this is the second card, sent the first one back. I've read about a few others haveing the same issues I have. So it's something with the drivers and the game.

Yeah i know those prices from videocards are damn high these days.

If you buy a new computer you gotta be sure there is a good video card inside, otherwise dont buy it :)

Hey Nathan, did you find out what's doing the crashing? I never had that problem before and i run the Radeon 9800 PRO.

But now the funny thing is, i never once had a crashed until they released the first patch (v1.1). Now I crash here and there since i installed the patch, but it's not often enough to complain about it.

Usually when i crash, it's not some major blue screen or anything like that and i don't lock up or freeze...the game just shuts itself down and i'm back at my desktop.

But i'm still curious if you ever found out why this is. I find it funny that all this started after the install of first patch. I don't think it's the Radeon card because this was never an issue before for me...until after the first patch. But then again, i have no idea what it is.

I really love it, it's not the typical shooter where you run, fire and keep running. Teamwork is required, i promisse you that you will feel that you're into the ww2. Up to 10.000 simultaneous players, Full european map at 1/4 scale. Infantry, tanks, plans and marine all playing around you, etc. It's like battlefield but much more inmersive, more war simulation than shooter, not for every player because it's so deep. Did i say that i love it?

I use to play Ghost Recon with tons of mods, but lately all I have been playing is "Whose gonna change the diaper?" and "Where did you lose your sippy cup?". I miss the opportunity to play the newer titles like Far Cry and Battlefield Vietnam, but I wouldnt change my life for anything.
