Any MS gurus, I got a question...
I'm running Win98, Explorer5.5(updated it today) for a few months now when I go to a site that pops the password box, it won't remember the password. The auto complete does work, it just won't remember the other?????
 Any Ideas on how to fix this?? |

Click Tools, then select internet options, then Go into the Advanced property tabs, under browsing, check "Use inline autocomplete"

That happened to me on my laptop last month. The only thing that was different was that I wasn't logging in anymore with a windows user and pass. (I took my laptop home for Winter break)
I made sure that I log in each time now regardless... it still fucks up once in a while but a reboot handles it. I figured it was something to do with the registry but I think it's more along the lines of user profiles set on login. I'm no guru though, good luck. |

mine used to autocomplete doesn't anymore. If i login to the same place not once, not twice but thrice it completes my info for me. Everything but the password.

I received this tip from shemp, and I am not sure if it will solve your problem, but it did solve mine

It's this piece of shit microsoft put out! Ever since I upgraded to 5.5 .. or should I say downgraded, this piece of shit doesn't remember my network password.
It's not the settings, we're just fucked because you can't go back to 5.0 without lossing all you bookmarks and autocompletes! |
