    Why the fuck would WD make an external hard drive with no power switch?

    Is there a reason that anyone knows of? Seems stupid to have to keep unplugging the power cord every time.

      a lot of external hardwares dont come with a power switch

      my linksys router is an example...

          yah my linksys router has no swith either but that pretty much stays on all the time.

          i like to turn this drive off when not in use
