Scottrade

how many people here use scottrade for online trading? how long did it take you to set up? i'm very interested in online trading but i don't know where to start.

Went to there local branch and signed up in 10 mins, gave them a check and i was good to go, don't do too mucg trading but everything seem very easy to do with them.

I filled out a one page contract, wrote a check and walked into their office. Before I left their office, the branch manager placed my trade for me.

Scottrade is great. Excellent features. As far as how long it takes it depends if you are starting fresh or transfering from another brokerage house. When transfering it can take a week and your stocks must sit during that period. If you starting fresh you can trade the 1st day..

Thanks for bringing this topic up bro! I was looking into Etrade and almost started with them. Never even heard of these guys but it looks pretty solid so far and low as hell for the fees.
