Aight, I've tried my damndest to stay out of this one. But I take that one as a personal attack on me. CJ is my baby. I started it 5 and a half years ago as my personal website. It has always been and will always be about putting up for the world to see what we think is worth looking at. It'll make you laugh, cringe, or shock you. No matter what it will cause a reaction.

Others have said it in this thread and it's true: you're reaching here. I've known Rick for seven years. He can come off as arrogant, but he's the most loyal friend I've ever had. He would take a bullet for me and I wouldn't think twice about doing the same. NEVER have I seen him display any form of racism, sexism, any-ism. He's too intelligent for that. I thought you said that you were only posting the facts here. How bout some facts to back up this bullshit accusation?

Now, back to the video. We posted it because people wanted to see it. It's up to each of our visitors to decide what they want to think about it. There is NO WAY anyone that's not desperate to start up a ridiculous smear campaign could read anti-semitism into that or into ANYTHING we do. What a cop out. Why we posted that video has been explained and defended in depth here.

I have no intention of getting into the you're stupid, no you're stupid, no you're stupider bullshit. But come on man. Accusing us of being antisemitic is like calling Mad Magazine a bunch of racists. We're equal opportunity offenders. Christ man, our partner Paul is a hook-nosed heretic for crying out loud.

Mark I never called you anti- semitic.

You should be very proud of your "baby"

My problem is with Rick's arrogance and big mouth to be quite honest with you

I'll let you and Rick sort that out. My point remains the same: calling CJ or Rick anit-semitic is ridiculous.

KB I had dinner with Rick recently and I didn't feel one ounce of arrogance from him, nor a big mouth. He did talk quite a bit but he was just enthusiastic about his projects.

Most CEO's have strong forceful personalities. You can't run a company without a good sized ego to go with it.

I think you're reaching here with this thread and bashing these guys too much.

Rick certainly has a great name in this industry and I look forward to reading his latest tidbit.

As for the whole paris hilton scenario, I don't know enough about the backgrounds involved but I'm certain that Rick (Latona) wouldn't take on a battle he couldn't fight. Best wishes to all involved.

Hey, getting to the "party" late but just wanted to post the link for the "Use Content" editorial that Rick wrote for our March 2004 issue that WiredGuy referred to: http://www.klixxx.com/archive/march2004editorial.shtml

The June issue (with the article that launched this thread) will be at Cybernet Expo next week. So if you're not already getting Klixxx, make sure to grab a copy!

Posted an article from our May 2004 issue today on the website that was quite "fitting" for this thread... thought I'd share... although if everyone considered this before posting we'd have no piss-fests and I think the GP would be highly disappointed. lol

HAHAHAHA!!!!

I have had my laugh for the morning...

Rick fucking awesome article i feel a ton smarter now that i have read it ... that is not bullshit...

This fucking thread has gotten just stupid ..

KB - Yeah you will do anything to get the word out about this video cool ... but personal attacks on Rick is not getting the word out .. airing something about a lawsuit that is still in litigation really does not concern me ... nor does it make me think any less of the CJ crew ..

I have had the chance to hang with rick and although i have not had the chance to do business with him i have to say this guy is a little more than some mouthpeice .. I sat in a room with him and listened as he came up with a whole new business idea that was dynamic and innovative more so than any other webmaster that i know .... this guy is out there trying new things and pushing the envelope that no one has even thought of .. for that i have to respect him ... he is not facilitating a deal he is making a business happen and supporting it to the fullest...

Another point about Rick is the fact that out of most of the webmasters out there that run a programs could give 2 shits about their members ... He makes it a point that the surfer has the best user experience possible and will not let the product go unless that is true to standard ...

Now promote the Paris Video and tell me how am i going to make money off of it ...

IMHO... pretty tasteless to hijack someone elses thread in order to promote their product... why not start your own thread and insert your annomosity towards that person their???

why??? worried it may just go unnoticed?... or is it easier to coast off of someone elses name and work?

great article Rick...

a few weeks back when we talked about my employment
I was interested enough in your offer to have seriously
considered moving to Atlanta - and that is saying
something... so to whomever is keeping the list
of Rick friends - put me ON it...

Kath - can you double check for me - I never have
started receiving the Klixxx mag at home yet...
(thanks sweets...)

Hey Bell -

You're in hon - no worries.... we talked after the May edition went out already and the June one is just now hitting mailboxes. So depending on your location to our Florida office, it might take a week or so to get to you. I'm on the left coast and haven't gotten my copy yet. I had to pester my editor for a sneak peek @ the now famous Rick's Rants column for June. lol

In fact... I'm working on getting it up on the site this week. We usually don't post print mag articles up until the following month for archive, but this one has caused such a fuss - it would be a shame to not let everyone have a peek! *crossing fingers* Will post the link if I can get it approved.

OMG!

I can't believe I actually read this whole thread!

KB -

I love you!

You make HUGE waves for whatever you're promoting, and this Paris video is destined to be the biggest adult video ever ... no doubt!

You've got a GREAT big mouth and it's a double edged sword, dawg! At the very least ... it's entertaining how you handle yourself ... both good and bad!

Rick Latona might come off as an arrogant "know it all" prick, but he's got game!

Win, lose, or draw ... he's a calculating gambler - and a prolific marketer as well!

... and sometimes he listens to good advice even if it takes a year to settle in his brain

Rick Latona - Klixxx Traffic Expert
Traffic is at a Premium

About a year ago, J$tyles launched ContentBlowout.com and shortly followed it up with DesignBlowout.com. Immediately, I contacted him about launching a traffic blowout site and he replied with ?Traffic is a premium, bro.? Well, considering that I sell traffic, I still thought it was a good idea, since I was looking for more retail outlets - but on hindsight, he was absolutely right.

We can only sell traffic for barely more than we can make off it ourselves sending it to other affiliate programs, so why would we sell it at a discount?

*crossing fingers* Will post the link if I can get it approved.

okay babycakes... I'll be patient and watch for it...
thanks...

~Bell
