How many of you have been shut down becuase of SPAM ???
Just curious.
I've only heard of a few sites getting booted because of spam. Does it happen a lot? And what type of spam if it does happen? |

I have never had a site deleted for spam because I don't do it. I imagine it would be really easy to get your site deleted if your host got complaints about you spamming newsgroups or complaints from some search engines that you were spamming them. Also, if your host got complaints about e-mail spam you would probably get deleted. I have helped get sites deleted that were spamming me by e-mail.

I have never gotten booted... I Pay for hosting, and i'll admit, i spammed a few specific-subject oriented newgroups a couple times.. it only got me a few hits, so i am sure noone really noticed.. it didn't even get me any signups.. LOL and at that time i wasn't using perclick.. silly me!
 On a lighter note, i do fully find out who is spamming me in my e-mail, and i contact thier sponsors, and report them... i don't take kindly to e-mail spam.. it boggs up my damn hotmail box, and thats where everyone who has known me for years sends me e-mail too... ------------------ "It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end!" |

I have spammed in the past on my very first site about 5 years ago.
I finally figured out that it was'nt worth the time and trouble. Only a few extra hits. My main reason for this question is that when I cruise the newsgroups I see lots of sites posting ads and links. They are everywhere. One site may post 15 times on one group. I just wondered how many are being shut down for that. |

By the way.
I admit that I will occasionally spam a site that I don't care about and then redirect traffic by banners or text links to my main site. I know everyone spams. I mostly did the message boards. Hell with the newsgroups. |

yep
I did it .. I kill him  no really long time ago I used to spam bbs also but I don't know if it was 100% spam when I posted there url of my site ( no sponsor link or something ) ... maybe it wasn't spam .. anyway I feel much better now cause I said this  hehe |
