I loved the nods to the great 70's flicks in Cabin Fever and the occasional nod to similar movies in Wrong Turn...

I admit it, sometimes it makes me feel intellectually superior when I pick up a reference others miss (like the music cues in cabin Fever that were part of Last House On The Left ;-))

I might even bring out some of my obscurest titles to San Diego....I'm getting in a day early, so might hold an impromptu film festival in my room, hehehe

technically, they weren't zombies....the virus turned them into lunatics, almost primal beasts...

they weren't feeding at all, that's why the only thing the survivors could do was wait it out until they starved to death. This virus consumed all of their emotions and returned them to primal beings.

When Major West is discussing the infected he has on the tether, he talks about the lack of skills (he's telling me "I can never bake bread or grow a crop", etc.) and he's just waiting for him to starve to death.

I have a friend who didn't like it because the characters "talk funny"...haha, I've never heard of someone who hated a movie because the characters were British.....

I don't mind nods to other movies, as long as the movie they're in can still stand on its own. I admit I haven't seen Cabin Fever, but Wrong Turn.. ugh. I'm just glad it was my free rental on my PPV. :)

That said, I do have Attack of the Killer Tomatoes on DVD. :Graucho

He's trying to get Diamond Dead made, but having problems findinf financing (which is considering studios are falling all over themselves to remake everything he's done). I read the 2nd and 3rd drafts of the screenplay and would love to see Diamond Dead hit the big screen..

its a pretty good movie i dunno it got boring after a while all the action was in the bgeining

i thought the first hour was great, especially with the shots of a deserted London...the 2nd half was kind of dumb and was pretty unoriginal....liked it overall though.
