That looks really good Womb. More function over form, as one isn't having to "chase" the elements of the interface. Having all the controls right in the same screen area is good usability.

To further enhance your design I would drop the asian characters and move the on / off controls down into their place.

Very cool. Now that all the controls are in alignment, as someone uses your remote gui they will instinctively learn the placement over a short time.

So much so they wont even need to look at the screen to pause a playing album, switch songs, or mute the audio.

The Feng Shui approach is also highly unique. Good work.

To be completely honest your entries were the best in the contest IMO. Well layed out, well put together and a proffesional yet playfull look. Best in here (other then mine of corse ;) )

Plus it looks real, a lot of the others look fake and overly beveled (one of mine is also quilty of that)

I'm no "Feng Shui" expert, but I thought it had to do with form and funtion. Dunno. :)

i dunno either lol, i just recently saw this inside living program on the telly, where the designer used feng shui. She explained that it was about different colorzones with different energies. It was actually pretty wierd because the one getting her interior moved around, ended up with an office in the kitchen among other things.

Mind should win. I think his submissions are the most professional, on top of that, while I can't judge how much time it takes one to do those designs, it looks like he's atleast put in the most effort into this contest.

Quartermain is a design contest troll. Noone knows who he is, and he's too much of a pussy to show any of his work, ever.

My guess is that he's Womb, and enjoys talking to himself.
