us / states question
just wondered for no other reason than i wanna know..
how the hell did whoever decided to seperate the us into individual states decide what size/shape each of the states should be looking at the map of n. america it looks like they got some 5 year old to draw them.. all funky shaped and shit lol anyone know how they actually decided to divide up the us into the states and why they are all funky shapes instead of equal sized blocks? |

ever looked at a map for another country. Maybe the one you live in. Do you have an explanations for those borders?
