that reminds me of a funny story...
when i was in HS, i knew this arabic guy and we smoked at his house...one day i go up there about to smoke and there was this indian lookin guy sleeping on the couch and hes like
"ehhh don't mind the fed on the couch."
im like wwwhat? he wakes the guy up and hes like "yea im an agent"
im like you dont care that we're smoking...hes lkike, well let me go in the other room cause they randomly test me. i was like booshit, let me see your badge...and sure enough it was real!
i was like your the fucking man dood!
never met an FBI agent before let alone smoked in the presence of one...

I had no idea what US people actually think of anyone in the FBI :-) From this thread it looks like they must have leprosy
It may just be that I am one of the fortunate ones, - I have two very good friends, one happens to be in the FBI and another in a "similar" "governmment agency".
Both these people are not the "characterizations" of "pigs" and just "normal" folks. I've often asked why the fuck they bother doing these jobs for very little money. One in particular is damned good at doing this kinda stuff - I've learned a few useful things outta that! :-) But I can't say I "hate" em as a group - if they ask too much and step over the line, they are told to fuck off. I don't ask em details of what they do - it's none of my biz.
It's not the "people" in these orgs that are necessarily the "problem" - it's the regime, usually from the top, and the laws that dictate what shit/attitudes these employees get up to.
Hell.. WTF am I doing "defending" the FBI!! Sorry folks - that was a moment of weakness - back to "hating"!
