I like Byron Bay and the surrounding areas.

But different places offer different lifestyles. What are your priorities?

As for prices, have a look at:

difficult to say, maybe if you expressed your measurements in square metres and kilometres it would be easier

Byron used to be an old hippy town. It's now more commercial, but still very alternative. The beaches and surrounding areas are extremely beautiful and the weather is great year-round.

See:

Property prices vary dramatically depending on factors such as views, proximity to beaches, quality of the house, prestige of the town/suburb, etc. You can pay anything from AU$500,000 to AU$5,000,000 (or more). Unless you're looking at prestige property most places won't have more than a 2 car garage.

SO we have to scrap the 3 car garage idea?
Byron I think is a great area. I met a girl from nimbun (spelling) seemed like a cool place,
Is there any chance of buying a little land 5+ acres?

im from perth, west coast, and i love it, im 5 mins from the city but its very laid back compared to the east coast

nimbin is the marihuana capital of australia, havent been there myself though. you should be able to find 5+acre properties pretty easily but not on the coast.

depends what kind of lifestyle you want

If you want to live in the hills, eg Nimbin, Mullumbimbi, Rosebank, Federel, etc you can buy 5+ acre blocks and build yourself a 10 car garage if you want. These areas are extremely beautiful, often in or near rainforest, and still less than an hour from Byron or a couple of hours from the Gold Coast or Brisbane.
