i was thinking of getting into planting flowers also, but i know nothing about flowers.

on the other hand i love vegetables in the garden because when they ripen i just walk outside and pick the ingredients for my salads right of the plant

I would love a vegetable garden but alas I don't have anywhere to "hide" one. I do spend a great deal of time in the garden. There are gardens all around our pool and I tell ya, working out there keeps me sane. It is a never ending project though, always a ton of things to do, and you are always trying, improving and changing. The gratification I get out of it is worth all the work.

I gardening! i find it relaxing hobby, base on my observation, this stuff has the ability to ease whatever burdens and problems we have, I feel it, everytime I will give a glance on the beautiful stuff that I have, commonly flowers are the composition of my garden, and what I love most are my red roses and orchids......they are so cute......I can say that I could consider them as my friend, a close friend, coz they give me comfort everytime I am down, makes me laugh whenever I am sad.......heheheheh.....that's what my garden do to me, they make me weird one

I garden but I wouldn't say I'm a gardener. If it grows, yay, if it doesn't boo. heh. I get about 70% of the things I plant to grow. I put one big garden in this year, all up one side of the fence, used stones for a border, looks pretty good but the weeds are already taking over. If it's not the weeds it's those stupid helicopters getting in there and making a million maple trees. I'm forever picking little maple trees out of something, there are 1000's of them! I planted hostas, bleeding hearts, lillies, columbine, cardinal, ivy, pampas, vinca, impatiens, and lord knows what else. Way too much!

Not the best display, being dark as hell right now, but nonetheless. I love our flower garden. Not doing as well this year as it did last year though. But I agree, it's very relaxing

Very cool. I spent a month buiding retaining walls for my garden and we are planting 75% of everything this weekend. Can't wait.

I love working in my yard/garden... I don't grow "edibles" but I'm a sucker for my Irises and Tulips. Working in my yard is a nice break away from the troubles and pitfallls of working.

In my main garden I have a patch of strawberry plants, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, green onion, green beans, green leaf lettuce, beets, green peppers

The smaller garden has white sweet corn and broccoli..

the back garden has watermelon and gigantic pumpkins.

I have a pear and apple tree too.

Gardening is good for the soul
