SGI is producing some of hte fastest super computers on the planet.. I imagine there tezro workstation will outperform some super computer clusters these days..

It's a flash drive. They have been building these things for years now. Just now they have become somewhat affordable.

Buy yourself the new Socket 939-platform AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with 1 Gig of RAM in some fancy case with a ATI X800 videocard and 2 huge TFT panels and you will have a faster system than the Liebermann for half the price.

Oh, and by the way, the Liebermann PuRam disk is only 1GB, it doesn't replace the whole harddisk.

I think it is neat how they made it so the desktop (start toolbar) actually strecthes over the dual monitors, is there another way to do this without thier software?

im in the process of reinstalling everything, but it will be my dev database server. so it does a lot of nothing now.

i had that 17inch mac lappy when it first came out, wasnt really impressed, mac is ok. I guess im just so used to pc, ill never make the change

I'd definitely get the Athlon 64 processor. I have one myself and it's very nice.. not quite as nice as those machines though. :)

The solid state hard drives prices are still a little high for the amount of diskspace you actualy get.

I thought Apple had that honor. As far as I know, Apple makes the only personal PCs that can't be taken out of the country because they're classified as "super computers". Have you got a reference?
