e-mail signup on a paysite's tour page: traffic leak or not?
Alot of tour pages have these free e-mail signups where surfers can register to get free "content" by mail regularly. Those these things get in the way of suffers signing up right now and right there to the pay site we affiliates are trying to sell.

I'm seriously considering dropping every sponsors that have these e-mail signup page on their tour pages...

i also think it depends on how intrusive it is... some i have seen that are located at the bottom, out of sight out of mind.. others that are bang in the middle.. i think that plays a big part in it.. but thats just my

I would say they would be ok IF:

1) You get paid for every confirmed email signup
2) The lists are mailed against their sites and you still get credit for any signups.

How would you know you got credited for a sale from an e-mail signup that occured two months ago?
