It just blows my mind..

How newbies get in this biz and expect to get rich over night. Then when it doesn't happen in the 1st few weeks they want to quit!
There's not much of a point to this post, just blowing off some steam!

I hear you, Oz. It takes alot of guts to stick with anything anymore. Sometimes, one has to wonder if the youth today just want everything handed to them on a silver platter.

Sure, I felt like giving up on several things several times but either something happens, be it bad or good, that keeps me going.

The major factor of life is struggling on...

Hello again Oz Yes, the newbies want everything for nothing. And look at how many people have done it for 1 year or more and still cant make more than a few hundred a month..

Those are the 1's I would like to help, but most of them dont want to ask for help. But the newbies in the last 6 months or less think they should be able to come in and make money immediately..

Makes me sick

Your right about them wanting everything hand to them.
The 1st year I was in this biz I wouldn't ask for any help or advice. I didn't want to look like an idiot. AS a result I didn't make any money either.
Then I started to ask and then started making money.
I may still sound like an idiot at time, but I'd be a bigger idiot for not asking.
I enjoy helping new webmasters or anyone for that matter. It makes me feel good that I could help someone succeed at whatever their trying to do. I get something else out of to.
It help me run thing back thru my mind that I may have forgotten. A win win type of thing don't you think?

Got to love some of the newbies thou. I have been in and out of the porn biz for 4 years. I mainly made my money at designing websites! I sucked at making it on clicks. I am hoping this time I make a few this time around though.

I seen some of the site some newbies put up and they are just stolen images and html that they found on the web. and and throw it up and think it will start rolling in the dough. hell they thought the other guy was making money off it. so they should be.

What they fail to relize is that at first they got to learn the ropes. read all the news they can digest and put it to good use. then learn alittle abit about HTML and graphics so they can put a decent page and make a go of it.

Hell I learn some new trick or old trick everyday in this biz.

and another reason I see newbies are afriad to ask questions. Is that they are afriad to get slammed by us old guys or a another newbie by saying their site suxs.

If we ban together and give a few tips here and there. it would make it easier for newbies to break into this biz. hell the next guy might be the new lensman(who knows *LOL*). It would be better to have him on your icq list than blacklisting ya because you pissed him off.

damn that was deep even for me. got to go back to making galleries. have a good one!

I think it takes being "stubborn to the point of insanity" to do well in ANYTHING...

1) Know what you want
2) Have a "do whatever it takes to get it" attitude & TAKE action on it

that's it....pretty simple...learn to love the pain

I agree with all of you totally.
G-Mans been in the bizz for 3 years, first year was a hell of alot of learning, and not much money. Second year was a hell of alot of learning and not much money. 3rd year kiving off of it.

There's always something new to learn, and and alot of frustrating times, but it beets having to get up every morning and go work for your hourly wage, and listen to some fucking asshole tell you what to do.

Andy,
I do agree with what you said.
And as for Newbies being dumb, yes when comes to this biz!

Dirtypainter
Very well said!

Lightning
Matt's something else! He gets all this help from everyone and then slap them in face.
Thanks for the offer, your the best!
Everything's good right now (fast too). I may take you up on your offer later on if that's cool? I do have one small problem that I'll email you about later. Thanks!

israeliguy
That goes back to newbies being afraid to ask. If there's one word of advice that could be given, that would be don't be afraid to ask your questions.

Jammy
You started a real good post on PC for Newbies "Attention Newbies". I was suppized that it didn't get more post! BTW, I just bump it up.
I also have an idea for a site on my domain to help newbies. I'll have to run it thru my head for awhile to see how I want to do it. Would you be willing to help?
More on this later.

Oz

Thanks, Oz. I'm always learning new things & that won't change. The more new things I learn, the more better I get at some things. Like anything, one must be willing to learn

Sure, I'll be glad to help anyway I can, Oz

I'm a newbie at this shit I only make about 100 to a 150 american a month. I started my website last march and now i'm getting 1000 uniques a day. Between webhosting and the cost of cable i make fuck all. I've never made a tgp gallery. But I'd like to get tgp traffic to my site. Here's my first pathetic attempt at a tgp gallery. Whats wrong with it? http://sweetjimmy.wethost.com/gallery/gallery01.htm

Jimmay,

Try talking a paysite up a bit with some text around it....even if you gotta take down one or two of those other little things on there....

Splain to those suckahs why they need to SEE THAT SHIT! Thousands of long movies, no more bs little movie clips and pics...this is the REAL DEAL...etc...

Try to pack that info into as few words as possible...but get the message across...people are "banner blind" these days....text is SOOOO much more effective...

Keep at it and try everything...You'll be making some cash if you keep knocking sites out and trying different shit...oh, one more thing, "test, evaluate, test, evaulate..."

Find one thing that makes you 50 bucks a day...then do that times 100 and life get's pretty cool
