Who are you and where you're from doesn't matter to them at all.

It's all relative. |

No it's not all relative, as he was not in Russia with Russian troops, he was on a US base with fellow US troops. Sounds more like you are trying to justify the fact that he was beaten to near death. |

Violence creates violence. I am so desensitised to all the media coverage of the "war" in Iraq.
I am yet to hear anything about a "successful outcome" that hasn't involved innocent people being killed in the name of greed. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR |

some GI's being pissed off at another GI and kicking his ass is far from being tortured Fuck when I was in the Army we kicked a guys ass and scrubbed him with stiff bruses.. He started taking showers after that. could be any number of reason's why they kicked his ass |

BUT they thought he's a prisoner... and the first thing they did was beating him ... he could be dead now.. "Baker, of Georgetown, said the soldiers only stopped beating him when they realized he might be American." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120890,00.html one of the articles |

that man was not a prisoner of war so the Geneva does not apply |
torture & beating are very simliar.. but thats not the point...

wow, these guys are from right here in my hometown....... funny we never heard a word about this til just now. That's how they play here where I live. My brother once got into it with ONE guy and when he got to where he was going, SEVEN of them were waiting to whip his ass......... THAT'S how they play where I live. You fuck with one, or piss one off, you deal with the whole lot of them. THIS is how they do it.......... torture? Nahh!!
Where I come from, this is NOT torture, it is one hell of an ass beating, but not torture. What comes to my head when someone says torture is prolonged beating and so on....... for long hours on end......... THIS was just a beating, allbeit, a nasty one, but a beating just the same. Shows you how WE do things though huh? Here we are supposed to be setting examples for others when it comes to how to treat prisoners and shit, and then you see shit like this. Says a lot for US now doesn't it? I say it again, the whole fucking world has gone completely MAD!!! :( |

This wasn't two soldiers fighting. This was 4 soldiers attacking who they thought was a prisoner of war. It could have been an innocent guy like that Lawyer they just let out. Rumsfeld is making your military look terrible, I don't understand how anyone can still support him. Maybe they should put someone in charge who has actually, I don't know, been in combat. |
they probably thought a detainee had escaped, and just had to put him in his place.. sucks to be him.
