BERLIN (Reuters) - Women watching erotic films are stimulated in a part of the brain associated with planning, emotion and shopping, research from scientists in Germany said Friday.

When scientists from Essen University put volunteers in a brain scanning tube and showed them pornography they found both men and women showed activity in the temporal lobes linked to memory and perception, but only women used their frontal lobes.

Unfortunately the researchers were not able to determine if their findings meant that while men lost themselves in the moment the busy modern professional woman was also planning her wardrobe, scheduling the vacation and juggling her tax receipts.

"We don't know why these differences between men and women exist. They just do," said institute director Michael Forsting.

There's a big difference between having "multitasking abilities" and merely not being able to focus as well as the other gender.

On a related note, I saw a documentary on differences between men and women on Discovery Channel, and I found it most interesting. Why? It portrayed men as apes and women as superheros... And the research groups they based these conclusions on consisted of all White females and almost all non-White (mostly Black) men. Haha! The Black male card usually supercedes the White female card, but in this rare occasion they flipped it around in an effort to make men look stupid, and the result was entertaining to say the least. If you think it is racist you better take it up with Discovery Channel, and not me.
