                well does lens know that bro? maybe if he knew that his techs were not doing their job he would get new ones? I am sure lens is a busy man, but that should stop his staff from fixing holes that were noted.. i understand there are breaking points in which if the hole was reported and ignored, then you give them a little taste to force a fix, but you do tend to over due it at times..


                now as you mentioned before that you are too busy to be a GFY tech, but then how do you have time to push the holes the way you do? why not just use the time that you use to mess the forums up into the time you can fix the hole?

                it seems you really have a thing for security flaws, alot of professional jobs out there to find holes and fix them, why not look into it some more?

                    More power to him is my opinion. If Smokey can exploit holes in GFY it simply means someone on the GFY-side isn't doing their job.

                                i didnt mean to put word in your mouth, just alot of people who do what you do daily make themselves believe that they are "elite" and are hackers when in fact they are just script kiddies waiting for a new hole to be founded..

                                    It takes very little time to expose the holes here. I run the same type of board so i run into the same type of troubles.

                                    many other board members frequent this board , as it is one of the most popular boards around. I have patched dozens of boards via exploits detailed on gfy.

                                                One was funny , it happened when i started the bot today, Another bot happened to reply to my bot Look thru my posts , i think it was like the third or fourth thread.

                                                Anyways among more serious ones was when a certain ( well used ) company was using the flash file sig to gleam emails from users ( accident , coincidence , not used ? )

                                                    In general bots are used for profit here , not for postcount like several well known long time users * cough cough.

                                                    Also services like bo[b]ar[b]dtracker.

                                                    These are easy to stop.

                                                    Most of them i guess haven't been used for profit ( so far ). But the serious ones have.

                                                    And thats besides to point. Its the other things i would be more concerned with, like lets say someone takes a program op's name and starts shit destroys rep etc.. Its easily possible right now.
