This is a great car for sure!

For the price, the car is definitely not a super sports car. It's been said that it should have been more of a McLaren than a Benz, considering the interior is cheap plastic and although the brakes have no fade whatsoever, they're not very sensitive to the touch... either ON or OFF.

I'd get a Carrera GT instead, plus you'll save a few bucks, too.

I would rather get the Lamborghini Murcielago Spider coming out at the end of the year.

The SLR tests haven't been too convincing.

The Carrera GT sucks. I see it a couple of times a week at my Porsche dealership and I don't like it.

I have driven the new Lamborghini Gallardo and it's better than any Porsche or Mercedes I have ever driven .. and I have driven the new Turbo convertible, Cayenne Turbo, 996 , Boxster , SL55 , E55 , S600 .. so I can make a judgement .. not against the SLR but I can say that a new Lamborghini built by Audi drives much much better than any Porsche ..

it is actually a womens car , but I don't care ... it's nice to drive around town when the sun shines ..

at the time I got it the difference in hp was only 50 hp but the additional price was 40k ... too much for a car that is at the dealership half the time because something needs to be fixed ..

I usually take the AMG if I want to drive fast .. 300km/h top speed ..
