I won that fight.. but the victory was not sweet :( |
I and some of my friends have witness a Murder. My best friends skitzo brother stab is mom to death while we where having a surprise party for my best friend.

100 times in my sleep.... maybe 1000nd's
but never in real life... |
there are few few people on here with military experience that have killed - notice they arn't stepping up and braging about it.
it's not something you really talk about if you've done it - even in self defense. it's still the loss of a human life. |

I had a client when I did criminal defense work that was convicted (two counts of capital sexual battery) that is serving concurrent 30 yr sentences. He was in his 40s, so his life is basically over as Florida has just about eliminated gain time on prison time. Its now basically day for day sentencing. Get a 30 yr sentence and you will do like 29 or those years incarcerated.
I know it was his actions and the evidence that got him in trouble but having a client convicted and sent to prison for 30 years erodes your mental state as a defense lawyer. Your constantly reexamining your self esteem when you get a guilty at trial. There is a reason why most defense lawyers I knew who did capital cases were alcoholics. I dont miss this aspect of practicing law a bit. |
When I had my machine shop a few doors down at one of the other shops a kid hung himself, the business owner got back in time to get him down. I heard that he was a veggy. He tried to end it over a brake up with his girlfriend.
Got a old newspaper clip ill scan and post. Some Southern California people might remember the clip ill post. |

That's a good one. And this is kinda of a fucked up thread, no? oh.. and my answer is no. |
A couple of times, you know "If the price is right"..
;P |
never mind no scan thats in bad taste I think.
|
I would never admit that I have killed anyone or had someone killed, unless I was going to kill the person I admitted it to a couple of seconds later.
|
are you a doctor? or just a love doctor?? :winkwink:
