monitor refresh rate

hey.... ive got the samsung 172T LCD monitor and it has a max refresh rate of 75Hz... i was running it at 70, but then i just got told that it is better to run it at 60Hz because:

Increasing refresh rate actually increases the vertical scan frequency. It is very useful in CRT monitors because high vertical scanninig gets rid of flickering.
However, LCD monitors do not have the flickering problem as CRT in low vertical scanning. Increasing the refresh rate only causes the video card tranfers more data to the monitor. This will cause interference problems in the image reproduction, such as image cross talk, especially when using D-Sub analogue input.
The best set up of this model for graphic work is 1280x1024@60Hz with DVI input.

So... do we agree with this??
