"There was no evidence of a wedding: no decorations, no musical instruments found, no large quantities of food or leftover servings one would expect from a wedding celebration," Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt said Saturday. "There may have been some kind of celebration. Bad people have celebrations, too."

You really are a fucking moron. No wonder you didn't quote the next few paragraphs:

"But video that APTN shot a day after the attack shows fragments of musical instruments, pots and pans and brightly colored beddings used for celebrations, scattered around the bombed out tent.

The wedding videotape shows a dozen white pickup trucks speeding through the desert escorting the bridal car decorated with colorful ribbons. The bride wears a Western-style white bridal dress and veil. The camera captures her stepping out of the car but does not show a close-up.

An AP reporter and photographer, who interviewed more than a dozen survivors a day after the bombing, were able to identify many of them on the wedding party video which runs for several hours.

APTN also traveled to Mogr el-Deeb, 250 miles west of Ramadi, the day after the attack to film what the survivors said was the wedding site. A devastated building and remnants of the tent, pots and pans could be seen, along with bits of what appeared to be the remnants of ordnance, one of which bore the marking "ATU-35," similar to those on U.S. bombs."

Phil 05-23-2004 09:06 PM

A videotape obtained Sunday by Associated Press Television News captures a wedding party that survivors say was later attacked by U.S. planes early Wednesday, killing up to 45 people. The dead included the cameraman, Yasser Shawkat Abdullah, hired to record the festivities, which ended Tuesday night before the planes struck.

He must have been just a part time terrorist according to US sources.

You can believe what ever story you want 2 me I'm going to believe the DOD story until they retrack it.

And if it's true you can be dam sure that the AP nor ABC won't come out and say they fucked up. give you odds 10 to 1

Kimmett was on Geraldo not two ago hours backpedaling on the DoD version of the story! The U.S. Government lies. WMD? Saddam's relationship with Al Queda? The immediate threat Iraq was to world terrorism... the list is endless. Did you see the Zinni interview on 60 Minutes? Here is a former 4 star Marine General (formerly a Middle East diplomat of Bush) disagree with everything the Bush administration has done during this horrible mess.

Don't forget the prison abuse scandal which was sanctioned by MI when the DoD was saying it was an isolated case of a few non-coms!

Not until after the invasion was Al Queda directly involved in Iraq. The only thing this invasion did was create more terrorists, a perfect recruiting tool.

you're absolutly correct.

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

Which just proves how bad US intelligence is.

Stop clutching at straws.

And it will take decades for America to win back respect.

Is "Socialist" and the speed your mighty army destroyed a third world army the best response you have?

Your not even clutching at straws any more.

You must hate America so much to want it to look so bad in foriegners eyes.

What Americans believe is pretty well irrelevant in stopping terrorism. It's what Muslims think that will stop it.

Terrorise the terrorists into submission is some peoples answer. The Muslim terrorist believes that if he's fighting in a Jihad he will go straight to heaven and sit with Allah with his 20 virgins.

OK, it's a crazy belief, but it's what you're fighting against. Israel has used terror for nearly half a century, has it stopped the Palestinians from strapping bombs to themselves and walking into Jewish shopping centres or onto buses?

Bush screwed up BIG time in Iraq and most of the world KNOWS it. How long it takes some Americans to realise that is anyone?s guess. Some still thing the US was right to go into Vietnam and that they did not lose that war.

A patriot loves his country and wants others to love it as well, he does not want people to fear it.
