glad to see Im not alone on this... my sites r back up but my trade scripts are still not operational.

Oxeo has been good in the past, apart from few minor issues like double-billing etc, but seeing it is a weekend in the States I'm getting no support.

Well as someone so greatly stated 'shit happens'. Though lets see them go with 15hrs of downtime.

I think we must get some kind of refund, they guarantee 100% uptime here http://www.oxeo.com/virtual.html I checked with the guy in ICQ and he confirmed I was going to get a refund let see if happens... but even a refund will not cover the traffic and the money I'm loosing having non operating scripts ... this sucks

the 100% guarantee is on the network. Yeah the month refund looks positive. I recieved the same answer after they sighted my posts on GFY.

Mike from Oxeo is a good bloke and all but as you have stated nothing can bring back traffic due to downtime and non-operational trade scripts.

Though I am getting alot of positive feedback from other hosting companies who are matching Oxeo and beyond. Are you on annual subscription of month to month basis?

I'm on month to month basis, I never had a problem wiht Oxeo before in fact I have refered some of my friends there who are currently hosted, but this just really sucks man, It started early monday this week my script started to act weird and their mysql wasn't acting right and then the crash so it has been a week of traffic lost for me.... this really sucks man.. what companies are looking good for you?

Stick with Oxeo. I have no problem sending them $675 a month. Great support. Nice guys.

edit: 50 host experiencing downtime

GeXus 05-22-2004 09:48 PM

Maybe you should of built a higher quality site, gained more bookmarks and worked on SEO.. then you would have your traffic back right away.

I am trying man, but their support hasn't been what it used to be in the last two days, and after the new server was up things aren't operating well for me... :(

obviously your on dedicated and not subjected to the current downtime and cgi scripting problems as some of us are still experiencing. I agree that Oxeo has good staff but good intentions aint getting my traffic back.

Thx for the input :)

You may want to consider getting together with a few friends and getting a dedicated server. I'm sure Oxeo would bill each of your credit cards the same amount each month. Trust me, dedicated is the way to go. I rarely have a glitch on mine. Seriously. They take care of the security stuff. php, and other scripts too. I'm not tech saavy. :)

I have a dedicated server in servermatrix but but I am not too well season with networking and mataning servers, although I am considering the idea of moving all to a dedicated server..

Yeah then I'll offer them 20% off to stay with me. Im not bashing anyone but now that you want to get your two cents in this post I will start bashing people. Oxeo isnt too respectable if they are going to offer their lower paying customers 15 hours of downtime because of a harddrive failure. I'm sure you would agree with that.

Jarrod/DefiantWeb where the FUCK do you get off comparing your hosting company... to top rated hosts such as WEBAIR and OXEO?

hehe I've sat back long enough listening to you try to compare to Webair, not to mention Oxeo who is also well respected in my book.

Time to put some facts to this story :

http://www.defiantweb.com/

they use nlayer (reseller)
they dont have their own network
they dont have their own IP block
they colo/use nlayer
if nlayer goes down or has probs
nlayer is border line tier1 cheap bw

Baiscally, if they ever wanted to use another provider they would have to have nlayer's approval, or renumber ALL of their ips which i'm sure their customers would appreciate =)

no comparison to Webair or Oxeo!
