How can I get faster uploads to my server?

Is there some way to "tweak" my FTP program or does it have
to do with my service provider?

I'm getting now 25 KB/sec - but would like to increase this?

Your upload speed is limited by your connection's upstream bitrate. If you have 256K up, there's not much you can do to get past 25K/second uploads.

are you on cable or dial-up? I believe with cable your connection depends on your ISP and also how many other users in your area are sharing the same ISP connection

with dial-up you can overclock your modem, but that still isn't as fast as cable would be

I'm using Cox Cable Modem service - so, I'm pretty much stuck at this speed then?

You can't increase your speed above your limit. Depends on your connection. T1, T2, bla...

you could call your isp and find out if they offer a faster service..
