|Which 60s rock stars are still playing?

Saw Peter Gabriel Monday, Jethro Tull last night, seeing Paul Macartney in two weeks and Bowie the week afters.

Seen these guys in the last few years.

Sting
Yes
Deep Purple
Dylan
Rolling Stones, still

So who else is still playing from that time? I can think of these

Clapton
Santana
Joe Cocker

Must be a lot more.

I saw him on TV a few nights ago. If his fucking father hadn't sold them out he'd be sitting pretty these days. He can't really hear. He's still pretty out there. But...musical genius never disappears.

Yeah his father should have been taken out back and fucking shot... he still recieves income off the songs, but what are they valued at today? 70mil or something when his dad sold them for 600k?
Theres a hardware ad on tv at the moment that uses "good vibrations" as the jingle.. sucks ass hard that someone else can sell out your music and you don't get the juice.
Yeah he looked pretty out of it in concert.. i mean he was totally mind fucked for a decade and then had a stroke.. He did kind of look like someone had escaped from the old folks home and wandered out on stage, but still... awesome concert.

In Prague. See most of them there, but saw Tull here in Brno.

Looking forward to bowie.

It's a shame about Brian Wislon, I saw a TV film on the Beach Boys, their Dad was an arsehole.

If I'm not mistaken, it was something like $200k...not much considering. I used to work for the Hard Rock Cafe collecting all the shit that hangs on the walls. One of the things they had in the collection was an assortment of letters that their father had written to Brian. I'm sorry, sob story type letters. From what I could gather, the completely disowned that fucker...and rightfully so.

I saw The Dead last summer it was awesome. Surprisingly I am not a big fan of thier music, I really only like a few songs, but the feeling in the air there was magical. Me and my exboyfriend and our friend Jay went. I sawe Jerry in the clouds during Ripple (my fave dead song) but did not say anything about it at the time cause I thought they would laugh at me, or that maybe I was just a bit hashed out. On the way home from the show, my ex mentioned that he saw Jerry in the clouds sduring Ripple, and then Jay said, yeah so did I, and I followed with, you guys did see that too!!!

So maybe I am not crazy?

Jerry still smiles down on all of us.

The Rolling Stones are a rock institution, I find it hard to imagine them retiring!
