thumbs tgps vs. regular tpgs

is there a difference in the quality of traffic between these two types of tgps. I read on some board way back that thumbs tgps dont convert as great as a regular tgp can. can anyone provide any input on this. or are they all basically the same

This is just a theory but I would think that link type tgp's would be better for traffic...but not high quality traffic. The reason I think this is because there are still alot of people on dial up who would probably frequent a link tgp for the load speed, but would be unwilling to whip out a credit card because they are already too cheap to get high speed internet. I am probably just drunk tho...

Problem is lots of thumbs TGP's use thumbs that are not from the actual gallery itself, or they skim so much that the surfer has more chance to end up in Siberia than seeing the pussy he first wanted....
As far as text is concerned, if you use real description that mostly lnk to real galleries, then I would say you would get better production...

I have noticed that most text links that consists of more than 2 words usually link to its corresponding galleries, much more than thumbs...

Another thing also is that it's harder to get any ads noticed on a thumb tgp since it is very graphic.......on text tgps, your ads will stand out more

As for owning a TGP I don't know which is better.

From a gallery builder's point of view thumb tgp's are much better
