Ever since they lowered payouts... it hasn't been worth it to recycle.
I remember back when it was a 1.50 for a pound of cans. They'll just keep lowering payouts til its free.

I don't. The nearest place to take recyclables is 60 miles each way. I feel I'm doing better to conserve by not making that drive.

actually ever seen pen & teller bullshit, they proved that recycling is bullshit! And it actually cost more to recycle than it does to throw it out. The only reason some communities have it is so that the city/community makes more money! But it is a pain in the ass, and doesn't help at all. Just watch Pen & Teller Bullshit some time..

Our city gives us one container for common trash, and one for recyclables (glass, aluminum, paper, plastics) . . . My recycle bin is always more full than my ordinary trash, unless I have mowed the yard that week.Comment

I recycle, My trash company makes it easy. I keep a large garbage can out in the garage and put a large blue liner in it and they pick up every other week.
