I was judge only for week 1, If I was judge for the later rounds I would not have cut you....

even being a model, I hate the fact that the pic was used as the first contest...
alot of the GFY regulars got the boot way too soon.

This is what I was thinking. I voted based on creativity. And if there were to be someone giving the finger and someone swallowing fire my vote would go to the fire swallower regardless who they were and if they were regulars or not. Model or not, it was about creativity.

i know i had around 10 votes, and there were alot of girls who didnt even have votes and some of them are still in. makes ya wonder :glugglug

Personally I think that if the "ugliest" of us had entered Malezia's pic we would have won. Maybe I'm being overly idealistic though. It was the highest quality and most creative picture.

I know this sounds bitchy, but the fact that uncreative low quality pics got votes at all probably has more to do with politics of this board than the fact that those entrants were eliminated. Still, it does suck that people who are not content producers probably don't have high quality camera equipment so in that respect I guess it was kind of unfair. Then again, seems like a successful webmaster who really wants to win would invest a couple hundred bucks in a decent camera.

i agree (and i like that you are being honest and not fake) with your post (well, mostly).

i didnt have a pro-photographer or cam. acutally, i did 3 different shoots ,each several times (and still have all of the pics) and 99% of them didnt turn out right. Why? Cuz the hubby doesnt know how to take pics LOL

it sucks that i put in at least 20+ acutal working hours into a pic, and had to send in an "ok" picture. my original idea was AWESOME but the pics didnt turn out. :(

and im more pissed that girls that took (and obviously took) less than 30 mins to do, got thru to week #2. and that girls that had great ideas got booted or got low votes and barely made the cut.

im glad malezia won, i voted for her pic as well (if my vote counted). i just highly disagree with certain aspects of the contest.

I hear you there -- it definitely takes a lot of practice to get good pics and is totally time consuming. And having to do everything yourself (edit: or rely on a clueless guy) is totally a disadvantage. I too had to ditch my original idea for something that wasn't very creative and don't really know that I "deserved" to not be eliminated. I sure as hell am not a regular like you are so yeah . . . I hear you. Thanks for not ripping me a new asshole for my opinion ;)

How uncanny is it that I had the same amount of votes as you. LOL I thought that might be enough to let me slide into the next round by the skin of my teeth, but obviously it wasn't. LOL

I don't have a pro-photographer or cam either. And, like you, I spent a lot of time working on my task. Every day of the week we had before it was due actually.

Damn rain had to ruin what I was originally going to do for my task. Oh, I would have still done it. But I couldn't convince my "camera man" to stay out in the rain and climb over the fence to the Interstate with me. All he kept worrying about was his camera getting wet....

So I can empathize Hon.
