Of course they do, and the president has the final say on whether a bill gets passed or vetoed. Parties will often times pass a bill they don't agree with in order for their own bills not to get vetoed. Thats the way government works. Nice how you conveniently left that from your comment.

I understand why some people don't like Michael Moore. I don't understand why they still question his honesty. I've seen him substantiate everything that has ever been disputed about his work. Yet I've never seen the critics substantiate their accusations that he's lying.

Don't you get it? Being interested that George Bush does all kinds of shady business with the terrorists he's supposed to be fighting doesn't make someone "anti US". People who turn a blind eye to this because it suits them are the ones doing the country a disservice. If you were a real American you'd want a President who does the right thing for the country. People who support Bush under the guise of being "pro US" are the worst kind of hypocrite.

I can't wait to see this fucker now. The fact that Bush and the Saudi's want it hidden so badly seems to indicated it has some really explosive stuff in it. I doubt any sane person could look at the facts he presents and still vote for Bush, without completely convincing themselves everything he says is a lie. If you invest in development, you will easily replace oil. Look that car industry... it clearly shows that the US gouverment did not went electric cars in 1990. The technology exists since decade but if big brother doesn't want it, you're fucked up.

1/2 of what they spent on Iraq could have developed a fuel to replace oil and plastic forever. Don't expect superbonzo to start thinking any time soon. I'm sure he'll be the first to sign up to fight for the oil since he feels it's such a worthwhile cause.

Vast swathes of Americans will need a fair bit of pushing to kill vast swathes of other Americans - 99% of people are horrified when one of them gets their head hacked off, that sort of thing takes time to build up internally, you can never say never, but you're going to need catastrophic changes for it to happen in the next 10 years. We have an outside enemy in the "terrorists" to keep people galvanised together for quite some time.
