tarantino wants to direct james bond

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...s_tarantino_dc

CANNES, France (Reuters) - After four years of filming and editing his "Kill Bill" revenge saga, American director Quentin Tarantino (news) feels like he's climbed a cinematic mountain but instead of a much-desired rest he wants to tackle the Everest of film genres: James Bond.

That would be some crazy shit, the movie would start at the end and finish in the begining. Tarantino's got some wild cinematography sillz.

yea - i totally agree.

"classic" bond style is more akin to traditional action and suavity rather than tarantino's pizazz and b movie injected fight sequences and dialog.

oh well would be different thats for sure

Tarentino makes a good film, but they have that "Tarantino" feel to them. Bond films are all together a different thing.

Who knows. Maybe he has a GIANT resevoir of untapped talent that we have yet to see through his work. Give a crazy, intelligent guy like him Carte Blanche and who knows what level he could rise to.

If anything he'd do a great throwback to the classics which made the movies popular in the first place... i think the opening credits would definitely be one of the best made IMHO if he does direct one.

it would definitely not be your typical James Bond movie.. but really that whole series could use a breath of fresh air.

About the only thing that changes in James Bond is the gadgets and the women.

He would make the remix of movie making. It would be cool to see those films get a fresh filming style. Bond will be fun to watch if he has the chicks, weapons/gadgets and action scenes, so who cares who directs it, might as well have Quinton give it a shit.

Love that, hope it happens.

I disagree my brother-

Tarantino would kill the character and the franchise Albert Broccoli and Ian Fleming created.

It totally wouldn't work, and I reckon it'd ruin the james bond movie.

I'd love to see more tarentino movies though, I'm sure he could come up with a good enough equivilent without using the bond name.

i can't see how the two would work out... i mean, they both are in their own worlds... it woulodnt seem right seeing a 'bond' genre film with the creativity of quentin... a bit weird i'd imagine.

quentin tarantino's style is the star of his movies. since james bond is supposed to be the star of the 007 flicks, i would expect a train wreck of massive proportions.

i do agree that bond could use a breath of fresh air, but someone less campy and "hip" would be my preference.

I think he'd be better off inventing his own superspy...why not a 3rd Vega brother who's a spy and goes on kickass missions?
