This proves why google is such a good company. Competition is what will take us forward in technology.

I can hardly wait for a Gmail account. I was going to bid for one on Ebay but decided not to.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

100MB != !GB accounts though -- but I guess Yahoo needs to take it slow.

With 1Gb and 100Mb storage wtf good is that if the attachment
                        size is capped? What's Yahoo's attachment cap? 1Mb? What's
                        Google's cap? 1 or maybe 2Gb?

It's like they are rolling out the red carpet for bulk mailers.

I'm sure their filters will be just as harsh if not harsher than Hotmail's filters.

                              Probably true.

I'm using YahooPOPS on Yahoo now. I have 6 yahoo accounts
and I am collecting from the bulk mail folders in all accounts.
I rarely see spam from Yahoo unless they send it themselves.

So then if they are filtering pop3 who's to say they are filtering
smtp? It's just all senseless. Who-the-hell is going to need a
gig of free email storage? Especially when the expect you to
bugger around in a browser with email.

Google is just pissed because it's been said that Yahoo has
better user retention than Google. Yahoo has all that shit
goin' on at their site, games, shoppin', email, auction, real
estate, maps etc. So I assume Google is throwing out
this gig email thing to pull some retention or something to
turn them into something other than a quick look SE.
