not to mention tbone and ny strip are the same thing with the only difference being the bone.

do they freeze these steaks before they send them. how do they stay cold do they use dry ice or something?

to package the meat. Freezing is for trailer trash.

i used to work in a meat department when i was a teenager. i've had every kind of steak imaginable, some taste better than other and some are more tender. but top sirloin steak does have flavor. you obviously dont know what you're talking about. teriyaki is used as a tenderizer and if you've seen the dimensions of a sirloin you would know that its not common to wrap bacon around it. the fillet is actually more commonly cooked with bacon wrapped around it because its so lean that its needs more flavor.

I used to buy Omaha steaks like a crack addict buys crack, but found that if you can find a GOOD local butcher, you'll get just as good if not better meat for a lot less $$$.

There's a sign on the way to the Outer Banks for a butcher "Nobody beats our meat!". I still LOL! :winkwink:

Ok, due to this thread I already went to the store, got the Ribeye, grilled it and just finished it, yumm...

I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree. I work in a meat department currently and Rib Eye has the best marbling out of all teh cuts we get. (More marbline = more flavor). Also, I've never ever seen a Sirloin with bacon wrapped around it. We do sell smaller tenderloin steaks wrapped in bacon though. Currently, our choice Rib Eyes are going for 7.50 a pound, and the prime angus is 10.99 a pound... deffinitely cheaper then that Lone Star site I just looked at. Then again I'm in PA... I heard in NYC choice cuts are going for something like $15 a pound... fuckin ridiculous

We have two fools who "worked meat" and have never seen
sirloin filets wrapped in bacon. One of the idiots claims he
paid $100.00 for a steak and both of them say sirloin cut has
flavor like a new york or tenderloin cut.

The reason the two of them never saw bacon wrapped sirloin
is the soup line doesn't serve cuts of meat and as for paying
