Well what's my favourite AC/DC song? That's a toughy?
Top 5 hahaha
1. Riff Raff
2. Whole lotta' Rosie
3. Highway to hell
4. Let there be rock
5. Sin City

:GFYBand

I am one of the maddest AccaDacca fans in the universe:1orglaugh

Definitely know your shit, that probably would have been my top 5 as well. I would maybe put Night Prowler in instead of HTH, but then again, maybe not...

Aaahh...AC/DC just has that feel, and the more time that goes by..the more classic it all is. And wherever it comes on, you can see everybody's head start bouncin'.

Hell, even the Amish love AC/DC! (ever here about Amish parties? LoL!)

I like a lot of the songs...some of my favs are:

Thunderstruck
The Jack
You Shook Me All Night Long
Back in Black
T.N.T.

And

For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)

It's wierd with AC/DC fans though. Most of the time they are either leaning more Bon Scott or more Brian Johnson. To me they were just more gritty and raw with Bon Scott. Brian Johnson does his own thing but it just doesn't feel as intense with him.
With Brian Johnson they're a good rock and roll band, good to get drunk with. With Bon Scott, they're Blues/Rock hybrid legends on a par with Zep. I like Brian, but I think anybody who listens to AC/DC enough is going to become a Bon fan eventually.

Another thing to think about is that the best they've ever been with Brian was Back in Black - an album that was basically created entirely while Bon was still alive with a lot of his lyrics, I even have a studio rip of Bon singing Back in Black and it is baaaaaad

IMHO, nothing they've done with Brian is the equal of BIB, which I think was the last of Bon's influence on the band.

I agree, but I think you have to think of AC/DC as 2, 3 or 4 different bands... Let me explaine.. Before Bon Scott was their singer, AC/DC had another singer, his name I can't remember what his name is, but anyway, Bon was driving the Band Van in the early 70's and whenever their singer didn't turn up or was tp drunk, Bon would get liquered up, jump on the stage, and make lyrics up, coz he didn't know the words. After a while Bon was the full time singer and he's the one that got them the hard rocker Reputation, whiched really started them omn the road to popularity and success. They were cranking these rock/blues tunes all around Oz in small pubs, and really made great success out of the pub rock scene.
Eventually when Bon Fell asleep in the back of his mates Holden HQ station wagon and choked on his own vomit after a big night on the piss, the world was theirs for the taking.
The band changed some what after that. With new style riffs and different feel to the music. That and the fact that half the band was about to pull out.
At the point of "Blow Up Your Video" album (I think) they got a new Bass player and new drummer. Which obviously changed the sound, style and feel of the band. That's when we got "The Razors Edge" album.
But the old band came back together for Ball Breaker, which you can really hear when you listen to the album. Back to the old Blues/rock riffs and such.

Ok I think that is the basic story as I recall, but feel free to correct me.

:winkwink:
