i am 22 so whats the big deal

I don't know the age of the owners of most programs I promote. I look soley at the presentation of the program and do look for input from the boards. I'd take a well written program by a 23 year old with good grammar skills over a 40 year old who's convinced they are all that on the cutting edge of marketing talking about bling-blinging, pimping and all the other wannabe talk anytime. Stupid people are generally stupid for a lifetime. Age is just a number:glugglug

Peoples I'm dealing with don't mind of my ages. Somes found it very funny to work with someone so young (19 here)

hydro 02-13-2005 12:15 PM

Age never really has been a problem with me, i started mailing back when i was 13 and most sponsors of course didnt care. At 14 i opend up my penis pill program and my affiiliates didnt care as long as the money kept coming in. Of course at that time the everything was in my dad's name but oh well. I do notice that old people tend to "stick together" more than young people though.

I'm 22 and I'm new in Adult boards. Pardon me for I only have a tiny tiny tiny number of posts. :\

Age is just a number. If they have a solid program, fair business practices and a strong work ethic, I'm all for doing business with them!

For the record, I'm one of the youngins. :)

I believe that experience and maturity should matter.
Young people can be very creative and innovative.
Older people in the industry can take this biz more seriously than younger ones.
You can tell how creative they are by their portfolio and you'll know how serious they are in their work if they're reliable and efficient in the delivery of their works.
But you can be ripped off by both young and old.
In the same manner, you can never tell by age if they are trustworthy or not. :2 cents:

soukee 02-14-2005 04:28 AM

I think age isn't important in the biz... I know young very successful persons and older cheaters as well:-)

Probably should look at post count and join date. Then you know if they have a clue, or there business is just posting here.

groark 02-14-2005 05:55 AM

I trust everyone who can proov he is doing good work

punker barbie 02-14-2005 07:42 AM

Thats the beauty of the internet, we really dont know how old everyone is.... It really depends on the way your present yourself and the way one does business.

FunForOne 02-14-2005 08:02 AM

There are a lot of 21 year olds who are more mature than some 31 year olds.

I would evaluate each situation on a case by case basis.

If all things are equal, a 21-year old may not have as much to lose as an older businessman, (the future is further off). So they make take more chances, good and bad.

Experience is the most valuable trait you can have. it may be logistically impossible for most young people to get more experience than the older guys at certain things, but remember, the industry changes from year to year so everything is always new.

sweetcuties 02-14-2005 08:11 AM

Some of you got into this biz while your "under". And you admit that on a public board... yep, everyday I'm amazed at this biz :2 cents:

bangman 02-14-2005 08:29 AM

Age has always been a worry for me here.
I started in this business when I turned 18 and i'm 20 now.
I see a lot of young people (and old for that matter) on here acting really immature and i'm convinced it has tainted the impression of others, and so I rarely mention my age unless I am getting into a business realtionship with someone.

Would I do business with an 18 year old?
Sure. As long as they are of legal age, I could care less how old they are.
I treat this business as just that, a business. And I respect those who do the same.
If you are honest and deticated, I will not hesitate doing business with you.

I hardly consider that to be the case.
You cannot possibly gauge someone's experience or maturity level by their post count and join date. GFY is just a forum, it is not the industry itself.
For example, a lot of people that have 5k+ posts know nothing about this industry and make very little, if any money in this. This is a public forum, ANYONE can join - people should realize this.

As far as the join date, it means nothing. Like I said, GFY is not everything. This industry is huge, and a lot of people that make serious money have never even heard of GFY or choose to waste thier time on here.

GFY is not everything in this industry. Period. :2 cents:
And you put yourself at risk by judging a character by their post count and join date.
