Now why would they want a multi billion dollar business gone?
Especially one that they can tax the shit out of? And do?

The trick is to convince the regular folk that they are doing something about it and it has to be governed or policed at an official level to regulate all the blah blah blah that the bilble thumpers are hollerin about.

Then they will charge people in the business extra fees so that they can assemble an official task force designed to do just this.
This task force will then idle their time away serving out bullshit fines(extra income for govt) that everyone will know is bullshit but will be hesitant to say no because of the authority the govt will give this task force to pull the plug on your operations and give you even more penalties.

You will have to provide a monthly health insurance fee that will be calculated by how many men and women you shot, produced, etc. This will then allow the talent to get a health card that will enable them to be treated for the array of problems that they could encounter in their profession. The govt does not want to pay doctor bills if they don't have to.

The ability for the govt to make a shitload of money off this industry will far out weigh any decision to obliterate it.

Well we're apparently about the same age and I couldn't agree more. This administration has been a fucked up disgrace ever since they stole the election with the help of his governor brother here in Florida in the first place.
Stacking the courts with right wingers, lying to the American people (about weapons, not blow jobs), the connections to the Enron debacle, the bungling of the surplus which is now a multi billion dollar deficit, the Iraqi prisoner scandal and it goes on and on.
There is little doubt that the vast majority of people here on GFY and in our industry are supporting Kerry because of the obvious threat this administration is to our business. It's the rest of America that needs to open their eyes and take our country back because it belongs to US, not the extreme right wing fringes of society.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen as i explain this:
we did NOT get $300 from the Bush Administration. On the contrary it was a loan. Yes, a loan.
For instace, if you filed your taxes that year and were refunded say $700.... had Bush not sent you that check earlier in the year... you would have received $1000 back.
I repeat, it was not "gift" money.... it was a loan that you did in fact pay back.

Secondly, registered Democrats greatly out number registered Republicans... the problem is that the Democrats have a terrible history of actually getting out and voting.

I am scared about the impending election, I am scared to many ignorant folks will repeat the same mantra "oh my vote does not matter, oh this, oh that".

There is no response that I can muster - GWB does not matter any more - the world has superceded all that crap...

It does not matter a toss about politics in the US any more - what matters more is *any* potential leadership there with *any* credibility to do the best for, first, the US people and second, to have *any* relationship with the rest of the world.

Whoever ends up with that job, and manages it with even 50% success - I would have to admire...
